Montana is punk. They don't dress as punk as other places that claim to be punk. In fact, sometimes they dress downright lame. But punk is on the inside. Montanans do what they want to do, what they feel is the right thing to do, and they don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about it. Wait, this is a review about The Volumen. Well I happen to believe that the Volumen represents this ideal of Montana punk. Of all the awesome bands in Missoula, Volumen have stuck it out, maintained their flair, and done exactly what the hell they've wanted to do throughout the various transitions in their lives and music. - Josh , posted 07/26/05 |
